Welcome to Rare Earth Farms personal
website. We've been getting a good share of exercise performing our daily farm
routines. The harvest has been picking up and keeping us busy but a major chunk
of our time lately has been spent on our hands and knees doing a lot of weeding.
We've still been getting rain on a regular basis so on the few scattered days of
dry weather we've been busy taking out weeds. It's been comforting to know and
it's nothing we want to boast about but it appears at the moment that everything
is under control. We still have the rest of July, August, and September before
we can put the hoes away.

We're a small 20-acre vegetable and fruit
farm funded entirely by its surrounding local communities. Participants in our
program are the kind of people who desire fresh garden quality food during the
summer but don't have time or the resources to grow their own gardens.
Participate next
season and subscribe to receive weekly deliveries of fresh picked vegetables and
fruits direct from our farm. All produce is harvested and delivered fresh to a
convenient location near your home.
Shares for 2009
will go on sale October 1st, 2008. Share prices for next year will be announced
at that time.
Join in the fun and support a local
farm through our Community Supported Agriculture weekly vegetable share
program.
On farm activities are scheduled
throughout the season for our members to come and experience social time at the
farm. Our annual Salsa Making and Fall Harvest festivals are two events you
won't want to miss.
A
"work share" option is available for people who instead of paying would prefer
to come to the farm each week and work for their food share. Send us an
e-mail to request detailed
information about the work share program.
